"TYPOLOGY OF TASKS AND EXERCISES OF THE COMMUNICATIVE METHOD OF TEACHING READING TEXTS IN THE SPECIALTY OF STUDENTS OF NON-PHILOLOGICAL AREAS"
Abstract
The article «Типология заданий и упражнений коммуникативной методики обучения чтению текстов по специальности студентов нефилологических направлений» depicts the methodological terms as “task” and “activity” within the frames of communicative language teaching methodology. Moreover, the main features of working with ESP text are revealed indicating that the whole system of exercises is divided into three stages as pre-, while-, and post-reading activities. Therefore, a teacher chooses what activity to teach depending on these stages for the reason that it becomes easier for students to perceive studied material and develop target language communicative skills.
