Abstract
This article compares examples of similes in Uzbek and Persian languages. Similes are analyzed and discussed through examples. The purpose of this article is to examine similes in Persian literary works and their Uzbek translations, to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the translations, and to study the translator’s skill.
