STATE GOVERNANCE IN THE KOKAND KHANATE
Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the state governance system of the Kokand Khanate, which was established in the mid-18th century and functioned until the second half of the 19th century. The article reveals the main features of the central and local administrative systems formed in the Kokand Khanate. In particular, the role and authority of the khan’s power, as well as the functions of military and administrative structures in governance, are analyzed. Additionally, the administrative-territorial structure of the khanate, the system of religious administration, and the formation and activities of state offices and positions are examined on the basis of historical sources. The analyses presented in the article contribute to a deeper understanding of the state governance system of the Kokand Khanate.
