BUDDHISM AND NUMBERS

Abstract

This article is about figures in Buddhism. Each culture interprets the meaning of numbers in its own way, but this does not make them less significant. Even in ancient times, people attributed a mystical meaning to numbers. Since the mentality was mostly formed on mythological thinking, then on religion, then the religion of this or that people will be taken as the standard of mentality of each nation. Both in Buddhism and in other religions, people put their thoughts and emotions, fears and desires, hopes and disappointments into numbers. Through numbers, man has come to know the world and himself. Numbers are still a guideline for many people today. Everyone has "their" lucky and unlucky numbers. And all this is because they surround us everywhere, throughout our lives.
