ENGLISH IDIOMS, PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AND TRANSLATION ISUUES OF IDIOMS INTO UZBEK

Abstract

Phraseological units cannot be freely made up in speech but are reproduced as ready-made units. The article deals with the specificity of literary translation of English idiom expressions into Uzbek is revealed from the point of view of the maximum possible preservation of their, first of all, semantic, and then lexical, and linguistic content. In addition, the work contains recommendations for the translator on working with idioms.
